Having a sloping roof means that the lean-to can fit onto bungalows or certain properties restricted by height. The shape can be the classic square or oblong design, maximising the internal floor space. An alternative to the traditional lean-to is to have a double hipped roof instead of a flat roof, which would also accommodate having the corners shaped to give the appearance of facets.
